St Clements Old Rectory sits in a quiet secluded position in ‘up hill’ Lincoln about 300 metres or 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Langworthgate is a continuation of Eastgate leading eastwards away from the cathedral. Opposite Eastgate Primary School, we share our entrance with Eastgate Club (Tennis and Bowls). Through the wooden gate, follow the gravel drive down to the house set amongst tall sycamore and horse chestnut trees. Please do not confuse us with St Clements Lodge which is situated on the roadside.
It is easiest to drive to the north side of Lincoln where the A 46 (Lincoln Relief Road) meets the A15 at a roundabout; follow signs to North Lincoln and city centre. Head towards the cathedral until you approach a stone archway – Newport Arch. Continue left along Church Lane and Northgate as far as the Eastgate cross roads. At the traffic lights, with Priory Gate and the cathedral ahead of you and the Lincoln Hotel on your right, turn Left along Eastgate, passing St Peter’s Church on your left. Take the left fork, St Clements Old Rectory is 40 metres on your left.
